Contest: Film Strip

(PDF of this puzzle to print out)
Each of the words and phrases below has had a film title stripped out of it. Add some letters to each of the strings to obtain the original word or phrase; the added letters will spell a film title. For example, if the string is HARLEATHGATGASSEEVTOR, then the original phrase is CHARLIE AND THE GREAT GLASS ELEVATOR (the stripped letters spelling CINDERELLA). Fit the film titles thus stripped into the crisscross grid and anagram the highlighted letters into a 5-letter word. This word can be formed by stripping another film title out of a longer word; send this longer word as your final answer.
