WORDY WEDNESDAY #142
MINI CHESS WORDS. . .
Five 6-letter words are scrambled on the chessboard. Each chess piece starts on the first letter of one of the words, and can be moved across the board via standard chess moves to spell the rest of the word. Every square is used exactly once. The chess pieces move as follows:
King: one space in any of the eight directions
Rook: any number of spaces in a horizontal or vertical direction
Bishop: any number of spaces in a diagonal direction
Queen: any number of spaces in any of the eight directions
Knight: two spaces in a horizontal or vertical direction and then one space in a perpendicular direction
Each piece starts on the bottom row, but it is up to you to determine which piece starts where.
______: H  __ __ __ __ __
        a1
______: O  __ __ __ __ __
        b1
______: A  __ __ __ __ __
        c1
______: W  __ __ __ __ __
        d1
______: F  __ __ __ __ __
        e1
Once you’ve solved all of the words, proceed to the next part and follow the instructions to get a hint for your final answer, a 5-letter word.
