This puzzle took me two days to build. I think I might tend to overuse repetitive Polyominous aesthetics such as this one. *laughs*

I'm headed back to Dallas tomorrow -- I'll be be taking my flash drive filled with image templates, of course, so the blog will not suffer from this. I look forward to the change of scenery. (What does that have to do with the puzzle below? Nothing at all.)
Puzzle 250: Pearls of Wisdom 27
Yep -- I've hit yet another milestone. Time for a giant puzzle. Woohoo.
Now is a good time to reflect on what happened since puzzle 200. Well. . . I've posted 50 more puzzles, obviously -- 58 if you include these evil buggers. Oh, and I've learned that Dallas is really huge, and has the potential to be really fun; however, amazing dogs in Abilene are always even better than Dallas. Additionally, I've been having correspondences with a few people at Conceptis; I don't know how my blog managed to get around to them, but hey, I'll take any encouraging words about how great my puzzles are that I can get! :D Anyway, yeah. Enjoy this 31x45 Pearls of Wisdom.

Puzzle 249: Crowd Nine 5
While touring a local bookstore, I encountered a magazine titled Sudoku Mania, which bills itself as the "Official Publication of the International Sudoku Authority". The cover of said magazine, however, causes me to doubt both the authority and the existence of the ISA -- I mean, whoever designed the cover must have been really blind or really ignorant of the rules of Sudoku to allow three 9's in one 3x3 box. (I ended up buying a crossword magazine instead.) I hope to get this cover posted on Failblog -- it's just too terrible not to!
The puzzle below has a (legal) trio of 9's in the upper right as a homage to the aforementioned magazine. It also serves as a tribute to all the people in the United Kingdom, for whom 999 is their emergency number; additionally, it references Minesweeper: The Movie ("That clock is gonna keep ticking until it reaches 999!" "What happens then?" "Nothing! You just suck!"). As for the 249 in the lower left. . . that has no significance at all. Definitely none.

I've been semi-addicted to the picture-forming logic puzzles of Conceptis lately; inspired by them, I told myself that I'd build a new Artist's Block puzzle, even if it killed me. And I did it! :D
Puzzle 247: Fencing Match 30
I'm sure that some of you (or maybe none of you) are wondering about whether I'll do anything special for my upcoming 250th puzzle. Well, of course I will -- I have had puzzle 250 made for quite some time, and now all I need to do is make 249 other puzzles.
I'm also sure that some of you (or none of you) are wondering about the status of that cake I designed for my 22nd birthday. Well, there's only one bakery my mother has used many times before, including on her most recent birthday, and therefore trusts with a cake of such epic proportions -- but it's in Abilene. She is holding out until she doesn't have to be in Dallas anymore, so we can more properly celebrate my 22nd birthday, no matter how late it is. I promise to have photos of the cake when we actually have it made. :)

Happy belated Independence Day/4th of July, people who reside in the Central or Eastern time zones of the United States. To celebrate, solve this easy puzzle with the givens in the shape of four 4's. (Sure, there may not be a ton of 4's in the grid to tie the theme together, but who gives a darn?)
